Using the PG (Power Good) pin on the LT3508 for output discharging is not recommended. The PG pin is designed for logic-level signaling and has limited current handling capability. 
 Specifically: 
 When the PG pin is low, it can safely sink up to 250 µA. The internal pull-down strength of the PG is approximately 520Ω. Which limits the current sinking capability. When the PG pin is high, the leakage current is around 1 µA. 
 Attempting to use the PG pin to discharge an output capacitor or load could exceed its safe operating range, potentially damaging the internal transistor. Therefore, for output discharging, it is advised to use a dedicated discharge circuit, a preload, or an external transistor controller by a signal.
