Any MAX77812 can be used in a 2+2 configuration based on the settings of PH_CFGx. MAX77812 with a 2+2 phase configuration is used, PH1 and PH3 are the master phases. PH2 is the slave phase controlled by Master1(PH1). PH4 is the slave phase controlled by Master2(PH3). The phase configuration selection inputs are set as PH_CFG2 = LOW, PH_CFG1 = HIGH and PH_CFG0 = LOW. The I2C slave address is 011 0010 . For the remote sense pin connection, SNS1P and SNS2P (SNS1N and SNS2N as well) are tied together to sense the output of PH1 and PH2. SNS3P and SNS3N sense the output of PH3. Similarly, SNS3P and SNS4P (SNS3N and SNS4N as well) are tied together to sense the output of PH3 and PH4.
Note that the sense pins need to be tied together at the load in a star pattern to be most effective (ie, looping SNS4P to SNS3P at the device would work but would be less performing).
