The PGND from the INTVCC capacitor and the SGND plane should be star connected at the negative terminal of the current sense resistor when using the MAX17690. Therefore if using a Kelvin sense resistor with 2 pins on the negative terminal, it is ideal to connect one to power ground and the other to the signal ground plane.
