The MAX17220/2/4 have internal circuitry that helps protect against accidental shutdown by transients on the EN pin.

Please find below the ETP functionality explanation.

ETP Functionality:

If Vin>Vout, IN connects EN pin through a 100K resistor internally.

If Vout>Vin, OUT connects EN pin through a 100K resistor internally.

MAX17224 is released with ETP functionality and MAX17225 is released without ETP functionality. Both parts are same except ETP functionality.
