On page 13 of the datasheet inductor expression has a 4 in the denominator.
The inductor expresison for any boost converter is
L = Vo x D x (1-D)^2 / (r x Io x Fsw)
Vo = Output voltage of the boost converter
D = Duty Cycle
r = Inductor ripple current ratio
Io= Output load current
Fsw= Switching frequency
In the datasheet it is stated that the optimum value of L for stability based on the MAX668/MAX669’s internally set slope compensation requires the factor D x (1-D)^2 / r to be equal to 1/4
Therefore,
L = Vo / (4 x Io x Fsw)
