When recording the gate drive signals from MAX20098 buck controller on an oscilloscope, there are non-linearities in the rising and falling edge. The root cause can be explained by the need to drive the external mosfet through the miller-plateau by charging / discharging the miller capacitor. This generates impedance change to the gate driver load causing non-linearities in the rising / falling waveform. The duration of this non-linearity depends on the gate drive strenght, gate resistor if added and external mosfet characteristics.
