Is it ok to leave the timeout and the reset pin of the MAX16910 unconnected if the reset feature is not used?
Yes. The RESET pin is an open-drain output and the TIMEOUT pin is an input that is designed so that leaving it open will select an internal timeout capacitance, that only acts on the reset.
