Hello everyone. i have a supresor circuit with LTC4366CDDB-2#PBF, it work fine when the overvoltage is about 2 seconds, but when overvoltage pass more that 2 seconds the Ltc4366-2 never restart from cool-down period.
I have to turn off the source and wait 9seconds in order to Ltc 4366 works fine again.
Vmin=10v, Vclamp=28 and Vmax=32V
attached circuit and all values parts. are there any mistake with the circuit?
This is occurring due to the TMR capacitance that you have set on the 4366. Your overvoltage condition exceeds the timer value that you have set for the device. The LTC4366 is acting as expected and self protecting once the time out occurs. It will restart at around the 13sec mark. If you extend your simulation time you will see it.

I have already pcb circuit with ltc4366 and yes, it self protects when overvoltage is held long enough to exceed timer value but it never self start in 9 or 13 sec, I've tested it until 15 min and never self start.
I have to shut down source then i wait 9 seconds and turn on source in order it works again. if i turn on the source again before 9 seconds the ltc4366 remains dont work.Also the layout recomendations was followed so i think that there are any mistake in the value of components.

When you test it on the bench, are you loading the output during the retry period? if your loading the output then the device may not turn on. Please make sure that there is no constant current load active on the output. Your schematic looks okay and based on the simulations should autoretry.
