Component destruction

Category: Hardware
Product Number: LT8302

Hello,

I want to use the LT8302-3 to generate two isolated 15V output voltages from a 40V bus.
I was able to simulate the component’s proper operation in LTSPICE, and my component selection does indeed allow me to generate my two output voltages.

My problem is this: the component fails when I turn on my bench power supply.
For my first test, I didn’t go up to 40V and stayed at 20V.

When sizing the passive components, I found a transformer with an NPS of 1/2.
From this, I calculated a feedback resistance value of 71.5 kOhm.
While reviewing the application examples in the datasheet, I noticed that the value of this resistor was always greater than 100 kOhms.
Could my resistance value be causing my component to fail by imposing a current greater than 200 µA?
I checked the entire routing and power supply section of the IC and found no source of error...
