LTM4712 Imon behavior and drive

Thread Summary

The user inquired about the IMON pin behavior on the LTM4712 when disabled. The final answer confirmed that IMON becomes high impedance/tri-state when the LTM4712 is disabled and INTVCC has discharged. A 1 Meg pull-down resistor resolved the issue without overloading the IMON pin, which is sensitive to current in the 1-10uA range. The accompanying answer noted that further verification with the chip designer is pending.

We have a prototype board with LTM4712 that is functional, but it appears Imon might be tristate when the module is disabled and the bias current of our overcurrent comparator is enough to pull it up. A 1 Meg pull down seems to resole the issue and it appears to work normally when enabled.  Lower value pull downs (100K) seemed to be too much load for Imon.
1.  Can you confirm Imon is floating/tristate when LTM4712 is disabled

2. Can you provide guidance on its output drive strength?
