I have a few questions about implementing LTM8003 in a design.
- Is this part automotive qualified?
- Can I output 3A at 15V?
My design requirements are Vin=24-36V, Vout=15V, Iout=3A MAX.

Hi,
The LTM8003 is not automotive qualified. It can output 15V at 3A from your input voltage of 24V to 36V.
Thanks!
Thank you, can you elaborate on what sort of testing is done on this part to qualify it to the 150 degrees C temperature rating?
Hi,
We will have to contact the designer and see if we can provide this information and get back to you.
Thanks!
Thank you, please do let me know once you find out!
Hi,
I heard back from the designer today. Below, I will attach the temperature cycling data for the LTM8003. They also want to remind you that only the H-grade variant can be stored and operated at up to 150°C. Please refer power derating curves on pages 9 to 13 of the datasheet.
Thanks!
