Hello,




we are currently using the LT8722 in an existing product and want to switch to a different peltier element with a higher nominal voltage. Currently we are supplying it with 12 V generated by another buck converter with about 100 mV ripple under full load. Can we increase it to 14 V or even 15 V without significantly compromising the lifetime of the IC?

    The LT8722 is only guaranteed to operate within the conditions specified in the datasheet. 
    For VIN the limit is 15 V. Importantly that's both the recommended operating max and the absolute maximum. There's no margin band above it.
     
    There is no lifetime concern for the part as long as you stay within the specified operating conditions.
