Hi ADI engineers,
I am designing a 24 V buck-boost converter using the LT8210. The input voltage range is 18 V to 57 V, and the required output current is 12 A.
I am currently working on the stability compensation and trying to determine the correct values for RC1, CC1, and CP1. I would appreciate guidance on the following:
How should I calculate RC1, CC1, and CP1 for this operating range?
Are there recommended equations or design procedures for the LT8210 compensation network?
Are there any stability considerations specific to a wide input range and 12 A load?
If helpful, I can also share my schematic, switching frequency, inductor value, and output capacitor selection.
Thank you.
Jolly Jacob
Hi,
The best way to calculate the compensation components is to use the LTPowerCAD model for the LT8210-1. The LT8210-1 is the same as the LT8210, just optimized for multiphase operation. Both chips are compensated the same, so the calculator for compensation components in the LT8210-1 model will also work for the LT8210.
Thanks!
