Hi,
    The current and voltage characteristics, along with their maximum ratings, are specified on page 2 of the MAX6952 datasheet. The load connected to the outputs must not exceed these specified limits. Increasing the output load beyond the rated values may damage the device or affect its proper operation.Therefore, any external load connected to the outputs should be designed to operate strictly within the limits provided in the datasheet.

Hi,
The MAX6952 offers all the features required for the matrix panel upgrade, apart from the output rating. The hope was there may have been an application note with guidance for extending the output capability.
