LTC4364 Motor Reversed Current Problem

In my design, I am using the LTC4364 integrated circuit to suppress negative voltage transients caused by my motors. However, the output voltage is specified as −20 V, and I would like to clamp or reduce this level to about −80 V. I have also added a 1000 µF bulk capacitor and a unidirectional TVS diode on the motor line for fast transient response.

Do you have any recommendations for an integrated circuit that could contain or dissipate the motor’s back-EMF energy? This IC is already connected at the main power input to protect against reverse input voltage. However, my sensor — which measures current and voltage on the motor line — has been repeatedly damaged due to back-EMF events (I am currently revising the design).

I am considering placing another LTC4364 downstream of the sensor to block reverse voltage coming from the output side. Is there an alternative method to damp or suppress reverse output voltage? Do you think this approach is reasonable?
