LTM4660 48V-5V Frequency Compensation and Output Voltage Ripple

Category: Hardware
Product Number: LTM4660

Hello, I'm using your LTM 4660 product for 48V-5V conversion. I built the circuit suggested in Figure 22, but it didn't work stably. When I tried to measure the switching period at C-, I didn't see a periodic signal, and the output ripple voltage wasn't a periodic signal either. After that, I changed the compensation network; instead of connecting COMPA and COMPB together, I connected a 10 kohm resistor and a 68 nF capacitor in series from COMPA to GND. This time the circuit was stable; there was a regular periodic signal both at C- and in the output voltage ripple. However, we have two problems here. First, we can't adjust the frequency as we want; I'm measuring 150 kHz when I expect 250 kHz as in Figure 22, and I can't set other frequencies either. Second, my output ripple voltage doesn't drop below 10% ripple. I tried increasing the ceramic capacitance and bulk capacitance separately, but it didn't help much.
