LTSpice Model : LTC3130 quiescent current in shutdown (RUN = 0)

Thread Summary

The user reported a discrepancy in the quiescent current of the LTC3130 in shutdown mode, observing ~7μA instead of the expected 500nA at Vin = 12V. The issue was confirmed to be a modeling error in LTSpice, and the LTSpice team is working on updating the model. The user should update components in LTSpice weekly to receive the corrected model.

Hello,

LTC3130 datasheet provides a quiescent current of 500nA at Vin = 12V in shutdown mode (i.e. RUN = 0).

When I perform a simulation, the quiescent current is not as expected but around ~7µA on Vin.

I checked all the pins and a good part of this current comes from the pin VCC (connected to a 4.7µF capacitor). I also found an unexpected ground current (GND pin) of ~6.9mA !!

I provide here below the simulation schematic.

Vin/PVin = 15V, RUN = 0.

Perhaps someone has already encountered this issue ?

Perhaps my schematic is wrong ?

Thank you for your support.
