The LTC4418 datasheet states that it provides "–42V Protection Against Reverse Connection".
The V1/V2 pins are rated from -42V to +60V, however the OV/UV pins are only rated -0.3V to +6V. In all of the typical application schematics, these pins are connected via a voltage divider to the V1/V2 pins. How are these OV/UV pins supposed to stay within -0.3V under a -42V reverse connection condition? Should some external schottky clamping diode be connected to the OV/UV pins to properly handle -42V at V1/V2?
