Higher quiescent current (Iq) then expected

Category: Hardware
Product Number: LT8607

Hello,

I’m planning to use the LT8607 in an always-connected-to-battery design. My main goal is to maintain good efficiency at very light load (~100 µA). From the datasheet, efficiency appears to be around 55% at a 24 V input.

However, I’m seeing a mismatch in simulation. I used the Analog Devices online LT8607 reference design (link below) and only changed the load to 55 kΩ to emulate a weak/light load. In the I_VIN plot I can see the expected burst current behavior, but the quiescent current between bursts is about 1 mA, not ~3 µA as stated in the datasheet.

Tool: https://www.analog.com/en/products/lt8607.html#tools-header

Could you advise why the simulated IQ is so much higher, and how to configure the model to reflect the datasheet value at light load?

Thanks!
