max20446 pwm setting via I2C

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: MAX20446

Hi,

We are using MAX20446 in our program for backlight control.

PWM is set by I2C interface. In the datasheet, there are 3 registers provided for setting the PWM duty.

The default value of TON is 0x3FFFF and the default duty would be 99.99%

The default duty is calculated as per below formula.

TON=(TONH10)+(TONM2)+TONL

Is our understanding correct?

if i want to set 50% duty, i need to set TONH = 0x80, TONM = 0, TONL =0, TON = 0x20000. Is this correct?

Please share the correct procedure if above calculation is incorrect.

Thank you.

Regards,

Viswanath
