Connecting EXTVcc to Vout messes up the simulation

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ltc3892-1, ltc3892

Hi. I am trying to simulate a model in the datasheet "LTC3892: 60V Low IQ, Dual, 2-Phase Synchronous Step-Down DC/DC Controller" on the page 38. Its "Figure 14. High Current Dual-Phase Single Output Step-Down 12V Converter"

I have noticed an issue where if i connect the EXTVcc to Vout the IC wont simulate. (freezes at ~10ns)

Interestingly enough if the capacitor between DRVcc - GND is chosen with 0 ESL, the circuit does simulate with EXTVcc connected to Vout. But if a capacitor with a non zero ESL is chosen, then i have to disconnect EXTVcc from Vout for proper simulation.

I have also tried to put a 50m ohm resistor in series with the capacitor with ESL, then it runs until ~2.6ms (you might need to run the simulation twice) where Vout hits about 7.5V+ and the IC is supposed to switch between INTVcc and EXTVcc but then sim practically freezes (I have seen it move on after 5 minutes then freeze at 3.3ms or so)
