I don't see a spec on this in the data sheet. If I can get away with it I don't need to regulate since Vin is well regulated.

Hello,
If you are trying to match the -VIN voltage then regulation will not help. The part will be running open loop based on the voltage loss from the input to output. The voltage loss does vary with load, oscillator frequency, and CIN (the flying cap). Below are the graphs from the datasheet illustrating what can be expected for a output voltage loss on a typical part.
