Hi,
I'm using the regulator part: MAX17578ATC+ in my design to generate -5V from 12V input supply.
Please find the design for the regulator part.
When we tried to Enable the regulator through the enable pin, we observed that the output voltage was swinging from -6V to -10V, and after 1 second the one of the resistors (power monitoring; not shown in this section) blasted and we turned off the board.
After removing the resistor, we observed that the input and output both were shorted to ground. We removed this IC in order to isolate this short and short got resolved once we removed the IC.
What could be the reason for this behavior? Can anyone please help review circuit diagram and provide the feedback?
