High Frequency Switching Application

The LTC7001 includes a charge pump to supply the top driver (BST-TS capacitor) for DC and very low frequency operation. As explaining on page 11 of the LTC7001 Data Sheet, a boost diode is required for switching operation. The boost diode (from VCC to BST also requires TS return to GND each switching cycle allows the diode to refresh the BST-TS capacitor. I would suggest playing with the LTspice model to understand this limitation.

IMHO Kurk's advice is spot on. The switching performance depends on the load R2 (ref your schematics). I think, Mishra, you need to probe your circuit with an oscilloscope (and simulate with the LTspice :). BST pin voltage (waveform) is of a great interest.

Thanks Heke  and Kurk  for your suggestions. Just one more question though - Does leaving the exposed pad unconnected during the experiments have an impact of the electrical performance of the IC?
