We have designed a system powered by a USB-C port or a 3.7V accumulator. For accumulator charging and power management, we selected the MAX77751, which we believe is the best option on the market. This IC is responsible for receiving voltage from the USB-C port, providing power to the connected DC-DC converter, and charging the battery. We are not utilizing any of the IC's special functions.
Despite designing two PCBs, we have been unable to charge the accumulator. On the latest PCB, we strictly followed all the layout guidelines from the datasheet and referenced the development kit, but we still encountered issues.
When the USB cable is connected, the LED lights up, and the DC-DC converter receives input voltage. However, when we connect the accumulator, the LED does not blink, and the accumulator does not charge.
There may be a simple and obvious cause that we've overlooked. We would greatly appreciate your assistance in identifying and resolving the issue.
Thank you in advance!
