I am using the LTC2954ITS8-1TRPBF as a push-button controller to turn my device on and off, with different on and off timings. The Enable (EN) output of the LTC2954 is connected to the EN input of 3x MAX77839 buck-boost regulators.
When the device is powered via USB, the EN output works as expected, remaining high for the duration of the ON period. However, when the device is powered by a battery, the EN pin only generates a single high pulse before returning to zero, failing to keep the device powered on.
USB: 5V
Battery:3.7 - 4.1V
Output load during the test: <100mA
Questions:
- What could cause the EN pin of the LTC2954 to behave differently depending on the power source?
- Are there specific considerations or modifications needed when using the LTC2954 with battery power?
- Could the load on the EN pin or a specific timing configuration in the LTC2954 circuit cause this issue?
Any insights or suggestions to resolve this issue are appreciated!
