I have designed an active clamp forward converter with lt3753 and lt8311 as a primary and secondary controller respectively. I am having an issue during power up under load. My converter does not start up under load. If I remove the resistive load, it starts up though and thereafter I load the converter and everything works fine.
It is 28 input to 12 output converter with 7A output capability.
When I very lightly load the converter(0.2A output current), output voltage photo is given attached.
it might be smth to do with soft start caps of controller’s. They are at minimum like 10nF each.
also there is total of 100uF cap at the output of converter.
any idea why my converter does not start up under load?
