I'd like to operate the LT8714 in the second quadrant, meaning it will output positive voltage but sink current. If I understand the operation correctly, the current will not be dissipated but will flow back to the VIN power supply. If this is the case, what type of power supply should I use? For example, during lab testing, most lab power supplies can source current but not sink it. Did you use a four-quadrant power supply to test this operation? For the final product, if I want to use a standard off-the-shelf 120V AC to 14V DC power supply, does it need to have special features, like the ability to sink power?
