Hi,
the datasheet states
SYNC14/SYNC23: Ground these pins for low ripple Burst Mode operation at low output loads; this will also disable the CLKOUT function.
Apply a DC voltage between 2.8V and 4.2V for forced continuous mode operation with spread-spectrum modulation. Float the SYNCn pin for forced continuous mode operation without spread-spectrum modulation.
and
CLKOUT14/CLKOUT23: When SYNC14/SYNC23 > 2.8V, the CLKOUT14/ CLKOUT23 pins provide a waveform about 90 degrees out-of-phase with channel 1, channel 2, respectively.
Does this imply CLKOUT will only operate if using spread-spectrum? It's clear it won't work with Burst Mode, but if my board doesn't have a supply between 2.8V and 4.2V so I leave SYNCn floating for forced continuous mode without spread-spectrum, will CLKOUT still operate?
