Hello ADI team,
Would it be possible to implement a surge stopper with the LTC7803 step-down converter and the ADuM4221-1 isolated gate driver according to the following parameters?
- Voltage requirements
- Nominal input/output voltage: 24 V
- Output voltage limit during the surges: 34 V
- Maximum transient: 100 ms @ 200 V
- LTC7803
- VIN = 5 V (auxiliary non-isolated PSU #1)
- SW pin connected to GND
- It should operate with 100% duty cycle most of the time
- ADuM4221-1
- VDD1 = 5 V (auxiliary non-isolated PSU #1)
- PWM pin connected to the TG pin of the LTC7803
- VDDA = 15 V (isolated PSU #1)
- High side FET with 300 V rating
- VDDB = 15 V (auxiliary non-isolated PSU #2)
- Low side FET with 300 V rating
- VDD1 = 5 V (auxiliary non-isolated PSU #1)
Thank you very much for any help in advance!
