LTC4412
Recommended for New Designs
The LTC4412 controls an external P-channel MOSFET to create a near ideal diode function for power switchover or load sharing. This permits highly efficient...

Hello all,
I wish use the LTC4412 as a high side load switch controller:
In the datasheet, I can see that the turn on time is relatively fast (in the usec range)
is is possible to increase the turn on time in order to further reduce inrush current? at least to the msec range...
Thanks
Nir
If you have a load switch application and want to control inrush, use an NFET PowerPath controller like the LTC4365.
Inrush is controlled by sizing Cgate.
I know there are more suitable options, but I have to keep the quiescent current below 30uA. with the LTC4412 there is no option for slew rate control?
Thanks
Nir

NFETs with a downstream Cout is in a follower configuration. The controller slews Vgate, Vout follows, and inrush is controlled.
PFETs with a downstream Cout is in an amplifier configuration, so the NFET inrush control methods won't work.
I know there are more suitable options, but I have to keep the quiescent current below 30uA.
Try the LTC4372/3 with back-to-back FETs. (Iq=5uA)
Ratio of C2 to Cout controls inrush.
Hi,
I will look into it.
Thanks for the explanation
