Q1.) Based on below application circuit from the LT3518 datasheet for boost mode:
FSW 1MHz and tsw 1us
VLED 34.56V, ILED 0.3A, Ripple current = Delta.ILED=30%*ILED=0.09A
DBOOST 0.769
Calculated L= 68.31uH for VIN 8V and 95.5uH for VIN 16V
How is 8.2uH derived in the application circuit in this case?
Q2.) For a similar circuit, FSW 1MHz, Vout 16.2V, Iout 0.357A, Vin 5V, based on above formula I get, 32.26uH (for 30% ripple).
Is this much inductance required? what would be the recommended range?
