MAX25511 PIN 17 DIM Voltage

Question

Hi Sir, 
 
 1. What's the volatge of DIM pin if it is flaoting? 
 My custoemr is doing experiment. They found when they turn on the "AUTO FADE-IN/OUT" function. The DIM pin volatge is 1.5V when they do not give DIM pin power. 
 They are curious about the 1.5V of DIM pin is resonable or not. (By th way, I already remind, if they do not need DIM function, they should connet DIM PIN to 5V or lower. ) 
 2. What's the lower voltage meaning of pin 17 in the pin description? What's the rage?
