LTM4646 LTPowerCAD design validation on VOUTS2 pins

Category: Hardware
Product Number: LTM4646

Hi,

I'm using LTM4646 in dual phase single output to step down from 12V input to 0.8V/15A output, and Vout would act as supply to VDD of the PCIe5 switch (Broadcom PEX89032).

May I know if the following connectivity is correct? Since I wasn't able to locate more details with regards to VOUTS2 & VOUTS2- connection when I was drafting my design on LTPowerCAD.

  1. VOUTS2 (E2) pin of LTM4646 is connected to the 0.8V positive remote sense pin of the PCIe5 switch.
  2. VOUTS2- (D4) pin of LTM4646 is connected to the 0.8V remote sense ground pin of the PCIe5 switch.
  3. Is it necessary to add a shunt capacitor (e.g., 0.1uF) across VOUTS2 and VOUTS2-, near the BGA pin of the PCIe5 switch?

BR,
