LTC4125 AutoResonant transmitter with LTC4126 7.5mA Wireless Li-Ion Charger 1.2V Step-Down DC/DC Converter

Category: Hardware

Hello!

I have built the power transmission circuit on breadboard by using the LTC4125 on the transmitter side and the LTC4126 on the receiver side, following the schematic here attached I found in the LTC4126 datasheet.

The receiver seems working fine since the LED light blinks properly signaling the battery is being charged.

However, the transmitter shows a strange behaviour and I don't know to what it could be related.

When I measure the AC voltage across the inductor, it starts decaying, and it arises again after around 400 us.

This timing is recurrent also when I check the voltage between the SW1 and SW2 pins. Is this the actual behavior I should expect on these pins or should I get a continuous square wave?

This timing actually corresponds to 2.5 kHz. The only reference I found about this is in the datasheet saying:

On the receiver side, of course, the behavior across the coil is the same.

Does someone know why this decayment?
