The LTC4269-1 Data Sheet (42691fc), Typical Applications show a 100V, 1A Schottky diode (B1100) between Vportn and Vneg.
The Eval board user's Guide (Demonstration Circuit 1335B-C) does not include this diode.
Both circuits seem to work.
What is the purpose of this diode?
