VID Output Voltage Programming Buck Regulator

Hi,

We are looking for regulator with VID Controller with VID Pins (Not through digital PMBUS Interface)

 With the following specification:

  1. Input Voltage: 12V
  2. Output voltage: 0.9V to 1.1V (VID Control)
  3. Output current: 30A to 40A
  4. VID Bits: 5 or 6

Please suggest us the part which is similar to LTC3877, but with the lesser current.

LTC3877 supports upto 60A, We are looking in the range of 30A range.

Hi KLN,

The LTC3877 is a good fit for your application. It is only a controller, so depending on your design, it can support current greater than 60A as well as below 40A. It will be dependent on the external components you will be using.

Regards,

Jhun

  • Hi

    Thanks

    This LTC3877  is 60A part.

We are looking in 30A part.

Please suggest other parts with VID control options.

  • Hi

    Please update us.

Also, Please let us know the difference between LTC3877 and LTC1708-PG

What is the maximum output current supported for LTC1708-PG?

This can be used for our requirement?

Any other VID control regulators, please suggest

    Thanks

  • Hi

What is the difference between LTC1709-7 and LTC1709?

Is the LTC1709-7 part available to order?

What is the maximum current supported by LTC1709-7?

  • Hi  and Team,

    Please look into this

As I have already mentioned, the parts your mentioning are controllers. The maximum/minimum current will be dependent on your design and not on the part itself as it is a CONTROLLER. The external components you use will determine the current it can supply.
