Can we use LTC4011 to charge 24V Nicd Battery.
The charging current can be 500mA. It is much below the specified current capability of LTC 4011.
The maximum input voltage of IC is 34V DC.

DS states 1-16 cells.
DS shows these diagrams:
Taking a float voltage of approx 1.6V you end up at 25.6V. Does your 24V battery consist of 16 cells?
As it's a buck controller your input voltage should be in the range of 26V(better 27V for more headroom) - 34V (Absmax)
It's all in the datasheet and I think the answer is yes.
