ADP5050 Vout small adjustment

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ADP5050

Hello,

I have a general question as I'm moving towards designing the ADP5050 in an Artix-7 FPGA design.  This PMIC looks great, but one requirement I have is to be able to adjust slightly the output voltage of each supply.  My intent is to be able to add an offset (or shift the output) +/- 50mV.  Same with my other voltage rails- 3.3V +/- 5% etc...

With the ADP505x part I notice that you can do either hardware divider feedback to set the outputs or the i2C register values.  The i2C register value increments are not high resolution so I'm looking at going with the ADP5050 resistor divider feedback and am wondering if

1. Would an analog circuit attached to the feedback be a good idea to allow for subtle Vout adjustment without adding a much noise.  I was looking at possibly a digital POT, but I'm a little concerned about the tap floating around and inducing noise.  I also thought about injecting current into the divider feedback, but unsure of the analog risks and what approach might make the most sense there.

2. Is there a better solution with a digital interface allowing for small adjustments to the output voltage similar to this in a different product family?

Any help is greatly appreciated - thanks!
