Routing problem with B2 ALRT pin of MAX17262

Thread Summary

The user is unable to route a trace from the B2 (ALRT) pad of the MAX17262 due to manufacturer limitations. The A3 pin, labeled as NC, is internally tied to BATT and cannot be used for routing. Removing the A3 pad and routing a trace below it is possible, but adding a silkscreen print over the soldermask is recommended to ensure proper isolation during soldering.

We want to use the MAX17262 chip for battery monitoring.
However, due to manufacturer limitations, we are unable to route a trace from the middle pad (B2, ALRT). Taking a look at the EV, we can see that a tiny trace was used, however, our manufacturer is unable to produce such a trace, as the minimum clearance between traces is 0.09mm.

Taking a closer look at the pinout, we saw that the A3 pin is NC.

Can we use this pin (A3) to route a trace though it? Like so:

Otherwise, we could also remove the A3 pad altogether and route a trace below it, but we are not sure if this will cause problems during soldering.

Any tips on resolving this would be appreciated.
