Hello support
I was not able to utilize the following circuit. Load pulses were killing Q24 why it happens ( yellow current, green voltage )
Hi HaimL, sorry for the late response.
It looks like you are running AC through an ideal diode in a load switch configuration.
The output capacitance (C45) is being charged and discharged, putting stress on switch FET, Q24.
If you step the load while the output cap is charging, SOA stress is further increased.
This part is mainly used in DC operations.
It's easiest on the switch FET to keep the load off until the output cap is fully charged.
Is the voltage at V_BRIDGE AC?
V_Bridge is voltage after diode bridge ... full wave rectified voltage . the shape is changing depend on the load
There's no waveform of IN, but if it dips under 2.5V, that is outside the part's operating range (GATE charge pump may turn off).
If this was in an ideal diode configuration, this wouldn't be an issue since the body diode of the FET would limit power dissipation.
Since this is a load switch config, VDS across the switch FET isn't clamped. During this time, peak currents are as high as 25A.
I recommend either using an ideal diode config if IN is AC, or converting to DC first before passing through a load switch.
