Hi !
I'm beginer hardware engineer and for a power supply project we are very interested in your regulator controller. The LTC3810 is typically a component we are interested in to regulate 51V to 34V at 12V while providing 6A.
We immediately bought a DC952A demo circuit which gave us excellent results on our bench tests. Then we decided to create a small prototype with EAGLE CAO tools to try to integrate it later on one of our products. To build the circuit we used the schematics provided in the appendix of the Quick start guide. Today our circuit lights up for the first time but has to go to safety because the output current increase in the coil (wrong dimensioning coil maybe).
1. SChematic of the application

Our Vin=33.6V to 50.4V, Vout=12V, full load=6A
2. The problem we have appears at the first powr on without load. We notice the output at 12V but a significant increase in temperature of the coil appears (high current). Once restarted, the card does not work anymore or only heats up.
3. Now we think potentially of three mistakes on our part.
* Coil is incorrectly selected/sized (Coil ref=CDEP147NP-100MC-125)
* We may have made a hardware error but after several checks we have chosen the right resistors and capacitors. Maybe we made a mistake in the placement of the components.
* We had choose differents MOSFET to decrease RDSon with similar performances of the model design (MOSFET ref=SIR184DP-T1-RE3 .
Therefore, currently, I have not yet figured out what mistakes results in the bad experiement results. I hope you could provide me some useful ideas or methods to solve the urgent problem.
