VIN pin connection SBD (LTM4656)

Question

SBD: NTSA545 is connected to the BVIN pin in the evaluation board and application circuit example. But I can't get it. 
 I would like to choose another device 
 Q1: Please tell us the selection criteria. 　Used at VIN=5V, VOUT=12V, 2.5A Q2: Please tell us the role of this SBD.

The schottky is inserted to protect the BIN pin from excessive negative voltage during an output over current fault condition.Its reverse voltage is recommended to be >30% of maximum BVIN and 2xBVIN would be better. Current rating of the diode is not critical because it is primarily for protection.)
