Questions about the Bias pin of the LT8643S-2

Hello 
 I have a question about the Bias pin of the LT8643S-2. 
 Currently, 5V is input to the Bias pin with an external power supply. 
 Is it okay to input 5V to the Bias pin with no voltage input to VIN? 
 
 I would appreciate it if you could reply.

Hello knj, 
 There should be no problem if 5V is present on the Bias pin while no voltage at the input. This way, the internal regulator will draw current from BIAS instead of VIN.
