LT1170_TA01_buckboost.ascHello, On page 14 of the LT1170 datasheet there is a note for the inverting buck boost converter that allows you to change the output from -12V to -5V with three component choices. When I simulate this circuit in ltspice with the component choices I still see the output of the regulator at -12V. Could you make a suggestion that would allow me to change the output of this regulator to -5V ?

Referring from the Figure on page 14 of the datasheet, Output voltage is set by the ratio of R1 to R2. R3 and C2 provides frequency compensation.
Kindly refer to the Application Note 19 — LT1070 Design Manual. This manual contains a comprehensive discussion of the LT1070 and the external components as well as the complete formulas for calculating the values of these components. The manual can also be used for the LT1170.

I also attached below a sample inverting buck-boost circuit which outputs -5V.
