a have a similar problem to customers before me regarding not being able to set/ or acheive lasting changes on the LTC416-fad demo board, 2038A-E.
Im using the GUI from LT/Analog, have changes nothing on the demo board, onlt added 2 LifePo4 18650 cells in series.
I can change other parameters and receive valid data from other bits and registers, including setting the Iin_limit_target to 1.2A (or 12 in decimal).
But i cant for the life of me, get the Charge_current_setting to take a change, (i do a read all after, tried telemetry forced on, slow/fast speed telemetry etc..
The register too a change to 1.6A briefly, but i havent been able to do it again, fails the rest of the time.
