LTC4260 VDD VDDK Sense filtering

Question

Hi, 
 I want to add filtering on the current sense resistor in my LTC4260 design. I'm using the UH package so I have the VDD and VDDK which are said to be shorted since there is an internal resistor between them. 
 My question is: what's the preferred solution here?

I was going to use 1 so I didn't have to worry about power loss on R98.

 Snip below from the datasheet on page 9 says that you should connect VDDK to VDD. So you should do no.2
