Hi,
We are looking for a part suggestion that can help us implement the following. I am hoping for a part that we can run up at 300V that drives an external MOSFET. The part would have current sense and MOSFET driver. The only problem is that the source voltage at the external mosfet can vary by 360V.
1.a. High-side switch
1.b. When switching from off-to-on to provide an in-rush control to the load.
1.c. Protection of the output. If current exceeds a value the output is switched from on-to-off immediately preserving the high-side MOSFET.
4.a. in-rush limiting or voltage slew rate limiting. Just someway to limit the voltage rise and current to the load when the MOSFET switches from off-to-on.
4.b. MOSFET when switched full-on must be able to deliver 2.5A nominally.
4.c. If there is a short at the output, the MOSFET must turn-off quickly enough such that the MOSFET can survive.
4.d. During MOSFET off-to-on during the in-rush to the load; this must also survive a short condition during that time.
