LTM4622 & LTM4622A output voltage range

Question

Hi, 
 I'm having a specific question regarding the output voltage range of the said parts. According the datasheet : 
 LTM4622 output voltage range can go from 0.6 to 5.5V 
 LTM4622A output voltage range can go from 1.5 to 12V 
 My issue is that I used a LTM4622A by mistake to provide a power rail below its minimum output voltage (0.9V & 1.09V) and didn't get any 
 problems using after numerous power cycle and a load that can go up to 600mA. 
 Is there any explanation to this, and most importantly, could it lead to failure and reduce its life cycle by a fair margin ?

 " It is not recommended to operate outside of the datasheet spec. Depending on other settings, you may run into minimum on-time issues, issues caused by size of inductor ripple, and other unforeseen issues due to being outside of the datasheet spec.")
