CONFIGURING THE SETPOINT TEMPERATURE with ADN8835CP-EVALZ and ADN8835 BASE BOARD (ADN8834MB-EVALZ)

Hi,

I request you to provide me the instructions for the configuring of SETPOINT temperature and the RANGE with the above mentioned boards. Instructions were clear when using AND8831-EVALZ Board but here, no such support.

May I also know what the equation involving the Vtempset, the Thermistor resistance(Rth) and any other resistances(R2/W3 and others if any) is.  


Kindly help me out at the earliest.

    Basically we have the same method in setting the set point using the ADN8835. The very important thing here is to take note of the plot of figure 39 in the datasheet.

    • The main goal here is for the TEC voltage should be at 0V (0A) when the setpoint is reached. Thus, the OUT2 voltage must be at 1.25V at setpoint.
    • So you can set IN2P (Vtempset at 1.25V) for example. Now you need to work on the thermistor amplifier (chopper1) circuitry.
    • You need to set first the following:
      Tlow = lower temp limit
      Tmid = center temp
      Thigh = high temp limit
    • you need to make the chopper 1, OUT1 behaves below:

      at Tlow, OUT1 ~0.3V
      Tmid ~1.25V
      Thigh ~2.2V
      In order to do that, refer to page 19 of datasheet.

    after setting that and achieve the figure 34, you can now set the Vtempset using the same curve.
